I know this is a mad newb question but I have this stupid habit of boarding in bloodmoon when playing URB control slaver vs. most things.

vs. Oath: I try to get it out early so that their forbidden orchards don't give me dudes and I fuck all their green sources. If they have black then they better get their basic swamp.

vs. workshop decks I turn their mws and ancient tombs into mountains

vs. tog and 4cc I ruin  their mana base pretty hard

vs. fish I stop 8 attackers from pestering me

Strangely enough it has worked pretty well for me but I would like to know the normal sideboarding strategy.

Oh and I also like it vs. the COW packing decks(especially stax) so that they leave my lands alone. They can play mountains all day.

Like I said I know I am off the wall but no one ever taught me sideboarding (I am still relatively new to tournaments and I think that sbing is one of the hardest skills to master) and I have always done things a bit (incorrectly?) weirdly.

Thanks

Blood moon is a good Side board card.  However,  you turn all their lands into mountains,w hich means they can still cast their spells they need to.  It also allows them to play around with Welder easier.

B2B hurts them more.

Moon is horrible right now.  Their Orchard costs 0, your answer costs 3. Against Workshops, I'd only want to play it if they're running a 5color build. Just about everything else SHOULD be running a heavy ammount of basics, even Tog with dropping to 3 colors and all.

When you say Fish do you mean Gay/R or Mono-U Fish?  Either way, Fish isn't very strong in the metagame right now, so I wouldn't be worried about it.

Moon is very good against Crucible, ut so is winning before they get it effecting you.

Blood Moon is not useful vs workshop decks - there's just not enough of a power differential vs workshop decks....

besides, after the first bunch of turns, it doesn't matter.

look at the top 8 from gencon, 2 of the 4 workshop decks ran bloodmoon, both maindecked at least 1.
