I think this is in line with Night's Whisper and especially Skulltap (although I think this is somewhat better than Skulltap in that it doesn't cost you a card in play. On the other hand, you must have a creature card in your graveyard). Maybe 4 Skulltap and 4 Necropsy could work as a pseudo Skullclamp draw engine in a black weenie/suicide black deck?

(I was partially inspired by the flavour text on Necrologia.)

Seems fair. The cost itself isn't much of a disadvantage; the only real one is the need for a dead creature in the first place.
So it's certainly better than Skulltap...

I think this is perfectly fair. It's on par with Black's recent acquisitions in card-drawing and it has good flavour. My only suggestion may be to change it to "Autopsy", a word with which more people are familiar.

Interesting. I was going to call it Autopsy (which I think is a way cool name), but I though I would give a nod to other black card drawing effects (Necropotence, Necrologia) and call it Necropsy (but you're right about Necropsy being unfamiliar).
