I wish that there could be a more centralized Southeastern site than Roanoke, like possibly Atlanta or Nashville or something.  Most people have to drive very far to go to VA, and I for one know that I would be much more inclined to attend all three if the drive were 5 hours instead of 10.

My assumption would be that this will increase the popularity and competitiveness of Vintage over the next few years and cause it to eventually become lucrative enough that the events can become a real tour, stopping in various large cities varying from year to year.

And as to the statement that it is inaccessible to Europeans, I would ask how Pro Tour: Chicago is any more accessible.  The circuit doesn't travel overseas, but you can hardly expect it to at this juncture.  Maybe in 5 years.

It could happen someday. In Italy they are doing a Vintage League for a 2nd or 3rd consecutive year, and in Catalonia (a region of Spain) we'll do our first  League starting in January.
In a couple of years we could be talking about the "real" World Vintage Championship held somewhere in the globe.
At least, this is what I'd like Vintage to reach.

I don't think there will ever be a true type one world championship unless there are qualifiers around the globe that would pay for air fare and the such.  That could get mighty expensive.  Maybe something like a team for each country similar to how WOTC does it now.  That way each countrie's best players are attending and the competition would be fierce.  That is a long way away though, I am sure, as it seems like type one might be close to a pinnacle in popularity.
