BigBill, NE Rogue, Frostwolf Server, level 35 when I write this.

Having played a character to 60 in the beta, I can tell you this game only gets better as you play it.  The Warriors have been nerf'd now, so I have to imagine it's not gonna be as much fun to play as it usta was, but still.

Considering it's 15 USD/month, would you say it'd be worth 1.00-0.50c /hour? Also, would it run decently on a P-M 1.6 GHz w/ a GeForce FX 5200 Go (32 MB VRAM) and 512 MB RAM?

Here is the absolute minimum of what you need:

800 MHz or higher CPU
256 MB or more of RAM
32 MB 3D graphics card with hardware transform and lighting, such as GeForce 2 or better

Your video card is your weakest link, but it does meet the minimum specs.  You should be able to run the game decently, although you will probably have to tweak the graphics.

I bought the game yesterday...but I'd hate to waste the free month waiting in lines and fending off terrible lag. Has Blizzard done anything to improve the situation?

I haven't had to wait in line or experienced any real lag in over a week and I play on a rather populated server.

There is the occasional hiccup, but that's normal for these kinds of games.

I play on the most populated server (I've got an in with the company), and I haven't had a line wait in about a week.  The worst I've ever had to wait to get on is ~20 minutes, and that was logging in on a Friday night at 9pm.  The nice part about the waits is the fact that they limit the servers such that there really is very little play lag in the game.  The only time you'll likely notice any lag is when dealing with the Auction House or the mail system, as that's where the server has to load the most information at once.
