DUELING GROUNDS PRESENTS:
The Ontario Vintage Championship – February 21st, 2004
Our goal is simple: to hold the largest Type I sanctioned tournament in the province of Ontario that has ever existed (you don't need to be a resident of Ontario to participate). This event will be promoted across the province as well as south of the border to bring in the number of players we need to make this a success.
FORMAT
This is a 32K sanctioned event. The format will be Type I Constructed. Please check
www.thedci.com for Vintage rules. You will be required to register your deck. We suggest printing out a deck list prior to the tournament and double-checking it so mistakes are at a minimum.
***PLEASE NOTE: Darksteel will be legal for this tournament!***
There will be a minimum 7 rounds of modified Swiss pairings. After the final round is finished, the top eight players will compete in single elimination rounds for big prizes and the title of champion.
PRIZES
The top 8 players will receive prizes. Complete prizes are still to be determined. You can check out actual scans of prizes on our website at
www.dueling-grounds.com. This is what we have secured so far:

3rd prize - A Legends English Mana Drain
4th prize - TBD
5th through 8th prize - Revised/Unlimited dual lands which include 2 Taigas, 1 Tropical Island, 1 Savannah and 1 Tundra

There will also be a door prize and you must be preregistered to be eligible.
ENTRY FEE
The cost to enter this tournament is either $15 with a food donation (minimum value of $3) or $20 without a donation. Please note you will not receive a discount with only one can of food!
FOOD DRIVE
Save $5 on your entry fee simply by raiding your kitchen cabinets and donating a few dollars worth of nonperishable food items. Our event is officially registered with The Daily Bread Food Bank. They are in most need of the following items: Tuna, baby formula, peanut butter, rice, canned fruit & vegetables, dried pasta, juice, powdered or canned milk and pasta sauce. Please be generous!
