Interesting. It looks like this card lets you put it into play, attacking, after blockers have already been declared. And it also means that Mistform Ultimus is in fact a Ninja Atog Lord. Awesome!

The ability should have been called "Flip Out".

Magic is officially the best game ever.

You can have Pirate vs Ninja theme decks.

You can give Ninjas flying.

You can sacrifice Ninjas.

You can put Pacifism on them and have them totally not care about anything.

You can give the hot Elvish Ranger art from Alliances ones banding and have them band with a Ninja because Ninjas get all the chicks.

On top of that, you can pop Nevinyrral's Disk with a Ninja in play and it's just like it's swallowing a frisbee!

Well...

It's too strong for a common and the wording is awful.

Actually, I'm usually a skeptic for this kinda stuff, and this one I think is real.

Take a good look at the very bottom.  It's very difficult to make the text under the artist name look correct in a photoshopping, especially if there's information there that hasn't been printed before (like 2005)

Also, it has about what the right number should be in a set like this (44/165) as a blue card should be about that deep assuming few artifacts/lands in the set.

Lastly, the image is of the artist's (Scott) style, which means it was very likely done by the same guy that did three cards in CoK and all the artwork for Warhammer 40K.

Yes but Mistform Ultimus is also a Mutant Ninja Turtle.

Ninjas are the best creature type ever. They need one that combo's with Dragon.

In term of limited, Ninjitsu looks like a great ability to complement Bushido. Bushido often lets small creatures through unblocked. Ninjitsu punishes players for not blocking. This may make a creature like Battle-Mad Ronin a good bit more powerful.

Battle Mad Ronin is already an insanely annoying creature in limited. Damn, now you actually have to fear it becoming a ninja? Smile

Hey, this works nicely with other annoyances like Arcbound Worker, too. You could put it out off an unblocked Ornithopter (how broken is that?). I'm guessing it might also be a neat trick to pull under standstill or an opponent's trinisphere...
