I’d like to congratulate fadeblue and wonkey_donkey as the winner of 3CB Tournament #49.
Along with what has now become a Really Boring Deck ™, there was something that surprised me a lot; in a Maze of Ith and Energy Field-laden deck, the Reactor proved very strong.

In addition, Alfred finally won the mise-prize with his deck, and so as a result the following decks are BANNED for further 3CB tournaments:

1) Mishra’s Workshop, Ensnaring Bridge, Powder Keg
2) Saprazzan Cove, Force of Will, Energy Field
3) Sand Silos, Force of Will, Energy Field (because it’s functionally the same).

The rules for this competition were: Anything Goes!

Banned list:

How to read the table:
Match the deck # on the left with the deck # on top. Append a 1 where appropriate. The #s on the right of that deck correspond to how many points that deck received versus the deck on top. (Once again append a 1 where appropriate. The 1's are missing to make the table clearer)

Once more Leveler was played, although the Maze of Ith and Energy Field made it an average pick – it’s not winning many games through the Maze.  A win condition that doesn’t depend on either damage or creatures was fairly impressive, and so given the metagame the two winners weren’t surprising; one stops storage lands, the other doesn’t care about them.

Please post any corrections, and send the next set of decks to wonkey_donkey instead.

I love the fact that my Leveller deck would quite possibly have won if I'd have submitted a second deck that didn't beat it Very Happy

If memory serves, the last time you sent me that deck you misspelt it in the same way  Very Happy .

@Nazdakka:    Twisted Evil . Unlucky, but there was always only going to be er... two winners.

@Everyone else: submit to WotW and the new bonus format - both are looking quite promising thus far! Sorry, had to put some propaganda in there somewhere Smile .

I'd join WotW, but my decks are purely for fun, not competition, and I don't wanna drag the site down.  :D

The implication being that WotW isn't meant as a bit of fun, but is intended to be a serious competition. Please in no way feel inhibited by the possibility that you'd be letting down TMD by playing in this!

Although, of course, we *do* want to win - still, it's easy enough; play Lotus, threat, card-on-the-usual-banned-list.

Sorry if this is incredibly late, but my internet access went down for a really long time.

The second deck that I entered ... TangleBLOOM, not TangleROOT.  I'm almost positive it makes no difference on my outcomes, but ... I just thought it was worthy of mention.

Thank you for your time.

Correct, I clearly can't read. Sorry. In fact, it's not as bad as that; it doesn't change any of your matchups because I calculated it with Tanglebloom, it just got lost in translation when I actually put it on the damn site.

So not "can't read", just "can't type".
