U/W Fish Vs. U/W/R Fish

Currently I am trying to decide on a version of fish to run mostley just at my local card shop but I am having dificultys deciding which version is better.  The grimlavamancer with red is just great and the possibilitys of fire/ice would be cool but is it worth the destabilization of the mana base?
