I thought of this after wondering if there was a card that did this to put inot the new SenseiSensei deck, so that it wouldn't give your opponent a boost like Helm or Awakening does. I upped the cost to three instead of two like the old Medallions, mainly because I'm afraid of any cost reducers, and the fact that it can reduce things to zero. Something tells me that this should already exist, but to the best of my knowledge it does not.

The closest thing to this, besdies Helm of Awakening of course, is Mycosynth Golem.

It looks pretty good to me.  I wish it could cost 2 to be like all the others but it really can't because of the reason you noted (reduces costs to 0 on your spells only).

The only question is:  is it different enough from Helm?

I think this is different enough if you think that the original Medallions are. This affects only artifacts, meaning that Helm applies to probably 5000* more cards than this, with I'd say is significant. Also, it isn't symmetrical, which is huge.

*-By no means an accurate count. Assuming approx. 7000 unique cards, subtract artifacts (except 0cc) and those that have no colorless in their costs. In any event, it's a lot.
