Great article Zherbus, verry clear and to the point which was good. The only thing I'm missing so far is a matchup analysis +/or a sideboard plan against popular decks (putting stuff in is easy, taking stuff out is a pain for most ppl including myself). Are you save-ing that for a third article?
Also, you said: " Playing semi-powered isn't advisable, though not impossible."
I am a budget player (only own a Time Walk) but since my enviroment isn't exactly cutting edge I think I might try this out at my next T1 tournament. The questions I have are:
- which whould be a better upgrade to the deck, adding 1 Ancestral Recall, or 4 Mana Drain?
- wich would be more doable, budget 3cc control or budget 3cc oath? (and if Oath, which would be better, the Recall or 4 Drains as an upgrade?)
I'm leaning towards the Oath build + Recall since Recall can be played in decks like madness or bird shit (or decks with blue in general

) and Oath seems better for a budget player since the center card cost 2 mana.
However I'm really not that big of a fan of Oath since it's a little too popular in my area (or atleast a while ago). Besides that I like the style of 3cc control a lot more so I might buy those Drains if the really add more the a lone Recall would.
Hope you can give me some advice.
