World's Edge
Land
T, Pay 1 life, Sacrifice World's Edge: Search your library for any basic land card and put it into play.  Then shuffle your library.

The idea is fairly obvious - it's an onslaught fetchland that can get any color at the cost of having to get basic lands.  I could see this being too good even so and going up to 2 life, which I feel makes it more playable than having to CIP tapped.

Current wording:
World's Edge
Land
2, T, Pay 1 life, Sacrifice World's Edge: Search your library for any basic land card and put it into play.  Then shuffle your library.

Changes:
1) Made it 2 + 1 life

Too powerful with Crucible. Change the sacrifice to "remove this from the game"

I'm pretty sure this is strictly better than the fetchlands in every format cept for Vintage and Legacy.

I totally forgot formats other than Vintage and Legacy existed.  Oops.

I don't want to add a CIP downside because I feel that would nuke the card too heavily.  Would 2 or 3 life instead of 1 make it non-broken with Crucible?

Also, compare this to [card]Terminal Moraine[/card] and [card]Wayfarer's Bauble[/card]. Both of those cost {2} to activate. That is reliable evidence that searching for any basic land requires a mana investment of {2} or {3} (if you consider losing the mana from the land drop, when you use Terminal Moraine) -- in which case, this really begins to infringe on design space occupied either by the fetchlands or by Terminal Moraine.

This would be a staple even at 2 life. 3 life sounds really heavy but compared to Tarnished Citadel - which has seen play - it's not so bad.

So, you're paying 1 life to have the land come into play untapped, compared to Terminal Moraine. Seems a little bit of a random tack-on, but I suppose it's probably okay this way.

Lands need to produce mana. The fetchlands didn't, because they immediately replaced themselves with a mana-producing land. This, though, is just a disguised Wayfarer's Bauble.

No, because Terminal Moraine taps for mana. This doesn't. It either needs to tap for colorless, immediately put a basic into play, or not be a land.
