Arcane seems like one of those things that we can/should tack on in development. Obviously, anything with Splice onto Arcane must also be arcane, but why ruin the possibility of using a spell in any set by insisting it must be Arcane?

Well, arcane has very specific flavor connotations, and since we deal with all the flavor issues here, I think it makes sense to discuss arcane here too.

Sure, making it arcane restricts what sets we can put the card in, but you have to weigh that against the increased utility of the card itself. I think making it arcane would be interesting enough to justify not using this card in any old set.

I'm perfectly fine with adding arcane to this, does the cost/flavor text/name need to be changed because off this? (probably not, but flavor/name isn't my strongest side )

When this is finished I'll start thinking about my next card...

You'd probably want to rename it. Anything referring to dreams/spirits/kami etc would be good. Just make it clear that this is tied to the spirit world, not the real one.
