This is really awesome.Buehler announced acool little tidbit yesterday. There's a new Pro Players Club with 6 levels of benefits. Your level is determined by your # pro points. Level 6 (60 points or more) gives you this:
- Players get three byes at all Grand Prix
- Players are invited to all Pro Tours, including Worlds
- Free airfare to all Pro Tours and Worlds
- Free hotel room at all Pro Tours and Worlds
- Players get a $2000 appearance fee whenever they compete in a Pro Tour/Worlds
- $500 appearance fee whenever the player competes in a Grand Prix
How awesome is that? Currently, there's 5 people at level 5 (three of whom are Dutch) and Nuijten is dangerously close to lvl 6 with his 59 points. How awesome would that be? Flying around the world multiple times a year having your entire trip and stay payed for, pocketing two thousand bucks everytime regardless of wether you scrub out or not (which you likely won't since you get three byes).
It's almost as good as the Paris vintage championships. Anyone else think WotCis doing well?
