Star City "Power Nine" Series Goes "Ten Proxy"!
...
After much debate, we have decided to begin revealing deck archetypes, but not decklists, to each Top 8 competitor
...
L3 Judges at ALL Star City "Power Nine" Tournaments
...
In addition to the complete set of Unlimited "Power Nine", each of the remaining stops on the 2005 Star City "Power Nine" Vintage Tournament Series will also be awarding thirty-six (yes, 36!) Italian Legends booster packs as additional prizes and the prize payout will now extend all the way down to 16th place

and more

I was actually somewhat disappointed to see the ten proxy thing.  There's nothing I hate worse than shitty proxies, and I do expect quite a few shitty proxies when like 17% of my opponent's deck isn't real cards.

This is AWESOME!  Now I don't have to worry about getting 9th or 10th like I did in October and get nothing.  Actually, if I can keep making t8 and take down Pro Tour players, thats even more awesome.  Go Pete!

Beating them probably won't be easy, but what Vintage player wouldn't want a shirt proclaiming to the world that they had beaten Ben "The Most Hated Man in Vintage" Bleiweiss?
I can't wait to see the Yawgatog imagery either Smile

Being that I always liked the heel...

Ben Bleiweiss is now officially one of the coolest people in the vintage community.

Isn't that like being the valedictorian of summer school?  Wink

Wow, these changes rock and make a good ammount of top decks to be fully proximized and be built for no more than a Legacy deck would cost.

Awesome changes! Although I agree it must be crappy to see a deck with nasty proxies...

I think the changes are completely amazing, are we going to still have to worry about SUDDEN DEATH?!

Depends.  At Chicago we upped the time limit in the T8 to 90 minutes per round, and one match still decided to go to time.  Confused

Yeah, that was completely ridiculous.  All I know is that like 5 of us were sitting there (drawing on Brass Mans for Andy) and JP came over periodically to inform us of the status of said game.  He told us that "Well, someone cast Will and..." I interrupted and asked "Wait, someone cast Will and the game isn't over yet?"  So that tells you a bit about where that game went...
