Being bizarre is not a reason to keep somebody out of this country or lock them up.

"Despres hitchhiked to the border crossing."
AND "police in Massachusetts saw him wandering down a highway in a sweat shirt with red and brown stains." + "carrying a homemade sword, a hatchet, a knife, brass knuckles and a chain saw stained with what appeared to be blood."

And, still, someone gave him a ride. I guess that's proof there're still extremely nice people in this country.

I would have given him a ride... and it would have had nothing to do with being nice. And then I would be posting all over about how I gave him a ride.

Dude dont forget who you are talking to... I would take that guy to the mall and let him open up on consumers. And if he came at me with a chainsaw I think I would be using his teeth as life counters.

Honestly...how would you stop a chainsaw? You'd need bullets, handgrenades or a bow of some sort.

Of course, there's also the possibility of the guy not actually knowing how to fight with a chainsaw. In which case, yeah...you could probably get around it.

One can only hope that if Bin Laden tries to enter the US he will have a lab certificate to say that it is indeed blood on the chainsaw. I'll point out this article to my wife as she was denied a visa when we applied for one to spend 2 weeks in Florida as she was clearly a far greater threat to the US than this guy.

you have to realize everyone, this is MAINE they are talking about.

Seriously, our boarders are loser then your mom. The last few times I have gone to Canada, I coulda been flashing my credit card for all that they even checked my ID. Let alone stop my car, or look around in it.

Plus, to be fair, since it was Maine, he could have been a lumberjack. :-p

Yeah... I went to toronto about the time SARS broke out (no you cant blame me for it) and I got in and out without showing ID or talking either time. Its like both border guards were just uninterested. And thats at Detroit, not some place half of the uneducated masses do not know even connects to canada.

I tried to go to Cuba once I got there (wearing my Fidel Castro watch) and they cancelled all flights due to the outbreak. So I hung out and coughed everytime I got on public transportation.

I would have let this guy across the border.

Its funny how often people's mothers are compared to candian borders. I once heard someone say "the border nazis are just like your mom... they took all our beer and drugs."
