Hey guys...

This will be short and sweet.

If you want more information you can find it at

http://www.starcitygames.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=405951#405951

Luis Scott-Vargas has won his 4th (I think) Eudemonia tourney...this time taking home a mox sapphire for his efforts..

He used a gifts build similar to gifted.fr but I am unsure if he ran belcher or not. (perhaps somebody can add more information on this)

Andrej Hartnet came in 2nd place with something similar to gilded claw (but it might have been tinker.dec...andrej help me out here...I only saw su-chi and transmute artifact really)

The rest of the top 8 was something like (in no particular order)

Gifts
Salvager Oath
Salvager Oath
UW Control (my teammate Kevin...good job man on 3rd)
UW Fish
Stax

The top 8 deck lists will be up in the next day or two at

www.eudemonia.net/p9

see you all at whos on first next sunday

Ill give you this much (and you can basically determine a very very close list) I took Kevin Chrons last several stax lists (like the one he used at rochester and richmond) and cut out some of the good cards like mystical and vampiric (mistake eh...I mention this in the full report on SCG) and threw in some creatures (which was good, just wrong cards to cut) and came up with a list that did just okay...Kevins lists are probably pretty optimal, I just felt they were way to light on threats, as that was the only problem I had during testing was actually putting a game away (I would have stuff locked down decently, but just couldnt either get the hard lock in time, or coulnt find karn to end things on time, before some stupid 2/2 killed me or something.)

That being said I really enjoyed my deck all day (even though my game record was like 6-7 or something.) They were all fun matches, and if one real bad mistake hadnt been made I might have ended up much better (rather than losing 0-2 to jeff I might have been able to go 1-1 then take the third game and might have made top 8, but oh well, and I learned a lot)  People seemed really suprised at various points during the tourney at some of the cards I dropped.  I might be the first person to be running a chron stax build around the bay area, and so when cool things like ITEOC popped out it caught people off guard.
