After looking over the various versions of Oath, I can't help but think that there is a way to combine the best of all worlds and, in the process, modify Oath to make room for MD Pithing Needles. Between them and Chalice, you should be able to hose the shit out of any deck out there.

The maindeck is pretty standard fare. Between 3 Chalices and 3 Needles you can essentially run MD hate against any deck out there. In this case, AK is not optimal, and there is unfortunately no room for Impulses. But between Brainstorm, Thirst, and Intuition you should be good to go. The deck plays for speed, setting up a quick Chalice and/or Needle, then dropping Oath and going for the throat behind the hate and countermagic. I like 2 Intuitions in the deck so you can search for an Oath in a pinch, or a Chalice/Needle if the disruption would lock the game.
The budget version would either run the 4th Thirst and a 3rd Intuition, or a 4th copy of both Chalice and Needle in the Recall/Walk slots.
