check out this website to see fulll standings:

The site is fucking awesome.

Click Turniere and then scroll down a bit to the July touraemnt and you can see a metagame breakdown with percentages and you can see fotos and a name for each deck in the standings.

If I'm correct the star next to a person's name means that their deck is unpowered.

I feel like the results of this tournament, albeit interesting, are a little skewed as half the decks in the field were powerless.

This was a No-Proxy tournament, therefore many people playing unpowered. And as one can see still doing good *g*

That is funny, I always see the results of proxy tournaments as a little skewed, as (more than) half the decks contain tournament illegal cards.  Wink

This is a nice regular tournament with a good support from the local bank. This means prize support is very reasonable and there are always prizes for unpowered decks. This actually means that unpowered decks can win nice power cards along the way. It now being summer Holiday there i think an 84 people comming speaks for itself.

I think there are still a lot of people that think that owning power or playing power is the same as winning against an unpowered deck. A good unpowered player can easily win over a powered player that is bad.

Power adds tempo, but it doesn't add skill. The beauty of this tournament is that a lot of the so called noobs actually make it a very diverse tournament with a lot of new ideas making the innovation level something most people could learn something from. So instead of calling the decks bad or the meta shaky, try and see things a little different every now and again.

Classic burn.
No top 8 playoffs?  So what, just a cut to the top 8, then say "this is the top 8, everyone go home?"

I will break into your house while you aren't home and disguise myself as a chair. Then I will leave before you get home, but there will be a place at your table where I was a chair and you will wonder why there isn't a chair there. Then later I will leave the chair disguise on your doorstep and you will realize what has happened and you will be afraid all the time. Helter Skelter mother fuckers!

They do pure swiss, then at the end of the swiss rounds give prizes based on swiss standings.
