DSC is everyone's favourite win condition latley, as the DSC-Tinker combo only takes 2 slots and can be put into nearly any deck with blue and artifacts. I'm even thinking about cramming it into my Doomsday build!

Tinker is one of those cards that is ideally played early. 2nd turn is a good time, I'd say, and since it is usually powered out by moxes, why not also abuse this 'storm' and run Erayo? He is such a massive blow to an opponents tempo that it is ridiculous, and this encumberance to an opponent's devlopment is usually more than enough for DSC to swing twice for the win. But Tinker is restricted, so how can we get DSC into play more consistantly? The answer....Show and Tell!

Yeah, this probably belongs on the newbie forum, but keep in mind the list I'm about to throw out is VERY rough. It's just a template to the idea.

Mana:
5 Island
1 Tolarian Academy
1 Swamp
4 Underground Sea
4 Polluted Delta
1 Lotus Petal
4 Dark Ritual
7 So/Lo/Moxen
1 Mana Crypt

Tutor/Draw:
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Merchant Scroll
1 Demonic Consultation
1 Vampiric Tutor
4 Brainstorm
1 Memory Jar

Disruption:
4 Duress
4 Force of Will
4 Mana Drain

Win:
3 Erayo, Soratami Ascendant
3 Darksteel Collossus
2 Show and Tell
1 Tinker

That's an incredibly rough outline, and I'm sure this deck would have a difficult time with Stax, which can actually make good use out of Show and Tell, but the deck's basic gameplan is

Turn 1: Duress or Brainstorm to set up
Turn 2: Either Show a DSC, or affinitize an Erayo
Turn 3: Do whatever you didn't do on turn 2.

And from there, winning becomes a formality. I havn't tested this at all, but it seemed like an interesting idea. What do you think?

Actually, the Answer is to run Tutors. What's the synergy between Erayo and Show and Tell anyway?

None really. But the Erayo-Acceleration and DSC-Tinker/Show and Tell combos are two different entities in the same deck, loosely tied together by the bond between the artifact mana, which serves as the spells needed to flip Erayo and the sac outlets to Tinker.

Ok, so what do with show and tell when:

1. Oath puts Oath of Druids into play (oh, and you have a creature in play by the way). They get  a turn before you can even attack

2. They put their own DSC into play

3. Belcher, gifts or any number of decks that run goblin welder puts welder into play and welds out your DSC?

4. Fish puts a meddling mage into play then STP's your colossus?

Its not a bad idea to explore. But I think Show and Tell is just not the right card. A) It means you have to have colossus in hand which means you'll have to up the colossus count in your deck to do this reliably. Which means are you taking slots away from other useful stuff.   B) There is no card advantage and in fact, if you have a smart/good/lucky player, can generate card disadvantage very quickly (see goblin welder...you used 1 card to put 1 card in play and your opponent gets a free spell that gets rid of the card you put into play).

Erayo, Soratami Ascendant wins more.

Where's Boseiju?  This seems a natural inclusion.

Honestly, MaskNaught is the better choice right now because so few decks are playing Null Rod.

The most obvious problem with this deck starts right off from the deck name: Erayo colossus. What is the deck focused on? Putting a DSC into play or getting Erayo online? Personally I'd go w/ Erayo. I'd take out the DSC/Show and tell/Tinker and put in another Erayo plus win conditions and search. I'd just go the 4cc win conditions. Maybe an Exalted angel. Swords to plowshares would fit in well w/ Erayo, they're cheap. How about free spells? Gush, Frantic search, etc? How about this:
-3 DSC + 1 Erayo, Frantic search, Gush
-2 Show and tell +2 swords to plowshares
- 1 Tinker + 1 Exalted angel, maybe more
- 1 memory jar + 1 decree of justice
Speaking of DSC, Moat would be a nice way do deal with your opponents Wink That being the case, the Decrees become weaker and I'd just add angels. What year is it? Check your calendar!
Add Tundras/ Flooded strands and probably a Volcanic Island for REB out of the sideboard, etc. and get used to this deck...
