On May 13th Team Sengir Departed from our lovely hometown of Weymouth, MA and were off to Myriad Games in Salem NH. Our Objective was pretty simple. Win a Mox. When we arrived at around 9 am we hit up deck reg and began to prepare for a long day of MTG. I think it was delayed a bit because this "Outlaw" and "Brassman" Fellow were running late. I am running a very cool version of Suey Black because I'm cool like that and I really want to be "The Idiot that Wins with Suey Black". For Those of you who want to know Team Sengir consists of a handful of unknown people starring Steve "Mox Monkey" Padinha and I Scott Jensen who you will all know soon enough for what I did at this tourney.

I start off all pumped to play and ready to go where I'm sure you have all had this happen .. I got the Bi. (o'-')p
Free win sure but Id rather play people. So I scope out the metagame and see some pretty random stuff like Icorid and Mount Wins Again. And I come across this cool dude by the name of Rich Shay. Well to cut the story short I am Going 2-1 and run into Rich as a match. Now I'm not one for names but this person didn't seem like someone I should have known until it was pointed out later who he was. So I kill him first round with Mainboarded Null Rods and Cool dudes like Withering Wretches and Negators and Second round i got out a fast Ink Eyes and killed him with a nice combined swing of my favorite Rat Ninja and his Welder gone traitor.

Yes I swept Rich Shay with Suey Black Starring a Foil Ink Eyes.

Thats the main bulk of the story because after that I get Paired with the match that determines if I'm in top 8 or not and its  Me vs. My good pal Steve "Mox Monkey" and I lose because he is a lucksacking junkslut.

I believe the Top 4 Split and Ray Robillard got a first round Bi for his own godforsaken tourney and Steve got 2nd trying for the Bi because they had already split and only the Bi was on the line so they played it out.

Overall I beat Dave the store owner for a trendy shirt for Myriad Games and Had a fun time.
Really Nice Store For the 35 man Event and its very clean (Dave must have some sort of OCD .. Dont we all?)

Congrats Scott. You so could have pwned Steve if it weren't for the Dark Ritual thing.

BTW, Dan's the name of the store owner.

Thanks for writing a report.

Also, having a clean store does not mean that the store owner has OCD.
There are a lot of families who come to Myriad Games to buy or play board games,
so it is very important that Dan keeps his store clean to maintain a family friendly atmosphere.

Along with this, it shouldn't be that clean stores are seen as some sort of "Wow, _HERE_ is something different."

We as players need to recognize that clean stores should be the norm, not the exception, and we should voice that opinion to store owners. I know of at least 3 different local shops that won't get my patronage simply because their stores are so dingy, diry, and disgusting that I'm afraid of getting a VD from the toilet just by looking at it.

We all have OCD I was just pointing out that Dan's kicked in more than everyone elses. I know clean stores are supposed to be normal but Myriad seem "Cleaner" Like there wasnt even a spot or anything on the rug and everything was organized with no stray cards or Board games ...

Oh man, now Team Sengir's Napoleon complex is going to get even worse.

Haha, mainboard Null Rod. What fool would try such a thing?

And does this mean Steve's a better CS player than Rich Shay?

Bwahahahaha! I had to say it.
