Hi all,

As you can tell from the subject I'm a new T1 player without power, workshops or drains. I'm going to play in my first Vintage tourney but it's only a 5-proxy one. Does anyone have any suggestions on what deck would be worth me playing to stand even a chance of a T8? I'm thinking fish or accelerated blue at the moment. I have or can get just about anything else needed for most decks. Any help would be really appreciated!!!

If you have everything else that you need for most decks, then Foodchain Goblins is a really good budget build and you can proxy 2 moxes a lotus and a crypt with something else that you fill in as needed. Fish is always good depending on your meta at the tourney you want to play in. Is is a competative meta? what are you going to see there do you know? I would give you my list of foodchain but i am at work and dont have access to it.

Another good 5 proxy deck is doomsday. It is tough to play, but if your meta has little MWS decks, you should be ok (ie no chalice of the void or sphere of resistance). You proxy 2 moxes and a lotus and 2 other cards. Once you get good at Doomsday you can really wreck house.

Oath isnt bad on 5 proxies either.

The problem is I've no idea of the meta. The T1 scene is pretty underdeveloped here in the UK. I imagine it will consist mainly of older players with their fave deck from eons ago. Those with power will play it but I assume the majority of players will have something cobbled together with drains or some P9 proxied.
