Over the Rainbow Instant Return target creature to its owner's hand. Until end of turn, creatures you control gain protection from that creature's colors. *** I figured that this card was technically worse than Akroma's Blessing, so it wouldn't hurt to cost it this way. I'm not really sure where the idea came from. I was thinking about [card]Singe[/card] and with it being Invasion week over at wizards.com, I was in the mood to create a "colour matters" card. The name is probably temporary, but it's 3:10 a.m. I'm not at my most creative when I am sleepy.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

Scopeless on mIRC I'd like to imprint My Cock on that. If she handles it right, it makes white mana.

I like it, but couldn't you return one of your opponent's creatures and make your entire army unblockable (and untargetable), all for ? Assuming, of course, that your opponent is playing a mono-coloured deck, or only has creatures of one colour on the board... I guess Akroma's Blessing does that too...

Yeah, in limited, you always play at least two colors. And in other formats obviously most decks don't care about blocking.

A card having a reason to be played should be seen as a argument for the card to be made, not against it. If you plan on using it as such a finisher, its low cc is almost irrelevant anyway, you aren't likely to alpha strike on turn 2 in Limited.

How is "Rainmaker's Blessing" for a name? Blessings commonly grant protection and the Rainmaker is a blue-themed demigod that I dreamed up for a handful of cards I created before (Rainmaker's Wrath, Rainmaker's Whimsy, and Rainmaker's Fastness.)

Rainmaker immediately reminded me of Soratami Rainshaper, which also has the ability to protect your creatures. I like the name.

I think this should cost 1WU to be congruent with recoil.

That isn't a terrible suggestion. The mechanics are strikingly similar, now that I look at them. What do other people have to say about this?
