Hi, I just moved to Chicago for...a job...Yes, I have entered that world. Anyways, on the off chance that I will have more than 1-2 hours per night, I was wondering if you guys could help recommend good places for me to get my magic fix, vintage or not...I live in Old Town, and I work in the financial district, if that helps at all.

thanks. and maybe i'll see some of you.

There are a ton places to play magic in chicago, but most are a waste of time. The only ones to take note of are:

1.Pastimes (in the northwest suburb of Niles) which holds FNM, Drafts, any large magic event for the area such as PTQs,and the Star City Games Events.
2.Collecta Card and Comics (on the South West Side of Chicago) which mainly hold FNMs but occasionally holds Type 1 tournies w/Proxies for Power.
3.College of Dupage (located in Glen Ellyn about 45 minutes away from downtown) who holds one of the Biggest FNMs in the country and also holds Legacy every Monday at 6pm.

If you have any questions about these places or anything else magic in Chicago you can contact me on AIM:MudX456 or on IRC in the manadrain channel.

Who else can say they made the former T1 World Champ say, "Baby Jesus cried a river of pudding after that match. It wasn't pretty."
