From the MCM website:

"Info on Magiclub Mol's type 1 tournament :
First prize will be an unl Mox Sapphire!!! Yes, you heared it correctly, a Sapphire as first prize and other nice prices for T8 (I believe a Mana Crypt and boosters for the second place) and best non powered deck. We will be needing at least 40 people, but I don't think that will be a big problem.
Note; it is possible that some minor changes will occur, for example we're not yet sure if we're gonna do top 8 or just 6 rounds of Swiss. What do you guys prefer and why? I personally prefer Swiss since people always start making deals and drawing when it's Top 8, and I don't like that.

Date:
Sunday 2 October 2005

Format:
Vintage
(Type 1)
(DCI Sanctioned)

Café 't Leeuwke
Start? 11u30
(Doors: 11u00)
Entry? € 13,00
(Registered: € 10,00)
To win? 1st: unl Sapphire
Boosters for Top 8
Special prise for first deck without "Power 9"

No room in the house exceeds a length of twenty-five feet, let alone fifty feet, let alone fifty-six and a half feet, and yet Chad and Daisy's voices are echoing, each call responding with an entirely separate answer. In the living room, Navidson discovers the echoes emanating from a dark, doorless hallway which has appeared out of nowhere in the west wall.

I really like Top 8's.

It makes sure that random decks/players don't win randomly ( I remember a non powered mono G Landdestruction deck). And is much more fun to play. Draw's and stuff are for people hat have proved thereself they can win and when you can draw in that's somehow a reward for you previous play....

Just my thoughts,

Roy

Oh, I want to stress that the text came from the TO website. I prefer T8's myself. Players with a x-0 record can draw in, whilst players with a loss can still T8 and win the mox afterwards. Losing first round to a random hate deck is a painfull way to start the tournament, and you might as well drop after round 1. (ok, that's exaggerating, cause it's still fun to play of course, even if you're not winning).
