Vodalian War Machine

Defender (This creature can’t attack.)
Tap an untapped Merfolk you control: Vodalian War Machine can attack this turn as though it didn’t have defender.
Tap an untapped Merfolk you control: Vodalian War Machine gets +2/+1 until end of turn.
When Vodalian War Machine is put in a graveyard, destroy all Merfolk tapped this turn to pay for its abilities.

I tap a bunch of Merfolk to give the Machine +2/+1 for each, then bounce it back to my hand and later discard it. Will all the Merfolk be destroyed?

If yes, than that's hilarious! LOL

I know this won't happen in a tournament, but if my opponent has Chaos Orb in his hand while I'm controlling his turn from a Mindslaver, who flips the card if I force him to play it and activate it?

That ability can only happen when it's in play. So no, discarding it won't trigger the clambake.

Planning on Donating a Vodalian War Machine, then Mindslaving the opponent, then casting some discard to kill a few Merfolk?

I thought I was a casual player but I bow down before you.

(BTW Merfolk Assassin and War Barge)

If you must use VWM, animate a Time Vault, make it a Merfolk, then tap and untap it lots and VWM through for the win (might need Trample)
