If you played and enjoyed flash games like Crimson Room and Viridian Room, then here's a much more complex and involved game: http://ctime.cool.ne.jp/MyDiamondBaby/en.htm#qaThe objective is simple - escape from the room. Let's see how far we can get! My current progress (warning: spoilers - highlight to read) Items collected:
Power supply cable (behind cabinet with locked drawers) --> use on power bar near the tower Screwdriver (on shelf)---> opens the tower Printing Paper (on shelf) ---> put into printer Small yellow key (behind shelf, between shelf and wall) ---> use to open plastic box on shelf Mysterious paper (in plastic box) ---> put it down on nightstand by bed Cabinet key (under pillow) ---> opens middle drawer in cabinet Colored pencil (in middle drawer) ---> use on mysterious paper after setting it down to reveal number: 369296 (this number seems to be specific to each game so it might not work for you) Video card (on top shelf to the left of the light switches)---> install in the tower once its opened Pocketknife (obtain after installation of video card)--->use on wall puzzle - see below Metal Rod (middle of the same shelf to the left of light switches)--->use to retrieve key from under bed Decorated key (under bed, use metal rod)---> opens nightstand drawer to reveal a marble puzzle
from completing the marble puzzle game (can't give the solution now, but keep trying - you need to eliminate all but 1 marble) you get 3 items: Remote control---> turns on fan on ceiling, which drops a large key Seal puppet---> opens the hot grille - top left corner of bare wall Crystal ball--->put under microscope for some sort of code
Spatula (after you open grille) Large key (from ceiling fan after its turned on)---> opens the bottom drawer of cabinet CG picture (bottom drawer of cabinet)---> hang on hook above bed Printed paper (turn computer on, feed it the print number obtained from mysterious paper, make sure paper is in printer)--->put paper on top of strange wall hanging right above shelf/PC desk - turns it into a puzzle once you use the pocketknife to cut out the blank piece Magnet tracer robot (when wall puzzle solved - hint: the + piece is in position row 3 from top, column 3 from left; the bug in the top right should remain revealed at end)
Info obtained:
Musical score - Andes (one of the books on the shelf) Molecular formula for Luminol (C8H7N3O2) (another book on the shelf)
There is a safe hiding behind the computer (click the wall directly to the right of the right monitor)

I've made a little bit of progress past where Diceman was.
Put the magnet tracer robot on one of the wires in the alcove to the left of the TV (where we found a key before.) You get a floppy disk.
Put the floppy disk into the white machine next to the TV.
Now the safe diceman mentioned should be on. Look at the code you got from the microscope, and notice how they correspond to certain buttons on the safe? Press the buttons OPPOSITE of the ones on the code to open the safe and get a medicine bottle.
Anyone know what the spatula is for?
I'm clueless from here.
EDIT:
Just found what to do with the medicine. Select it, and then click on the picture you hung on the wall earlier.
Remember how, before, there was a little glowing paint before if you looked at it with the lights off? Look at it with the lights off now, and there should be a bunch of numbers.

on we go: After Reb's instructions (luminol on the CG picture) a large key drops onto the cardboard box below the nightstand. This opens the top drawer of the cabinet.
Top cabinet gives you a hammer.
Use hammer to break the mirror to reveal a safe + puzzle. The puzzle and what the luminol revealed must be connected...
Spatula: use it on the blank wall to reveal the message:
The truth is...in the
Ah, turn out the lights and look at this wall.
Find a videotape in the darkness of the bottom drawer.
You get the AV cable behind the desk where the safe is. Make sure you pull out the drawers from the cabinet first before going back there. Use the cable to connect the VCR to the TV.
Put the tape into the VCR and play it. Look at the TV screen. Notice that the grid of numbers matches the grid of letters on the blank wall when the lights go out. Use those and the ring of numbers from the luminol-splashed CG picture to crack the safe combination!
OK, got the safe open. Music time! Note that playing the VHS tape resulted in twinkle twinkle little star music. There's also the musical score to consider.
Looks like you need to input 3 songs.
1. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star: ddsslls (do-re-mi scale; the bottom white knob is do, the next one is mi etc all the way up to ti)
2. The score to Andes
The musical score for Andes isn't working. It should be:
do (sharp), mi, la (flat), fa (sharp), mi, fa, la which should correspond to:
from bottom: 1st B, 3rd W, 4th B, 3rd B, 3rd W, 4th W, 6th W
OK, turns out, via a process of elimination, that the last two notes are wrong - they should be fa (sharp), la (sharp) which corresponds to 3rd B, 4th B
3. The last piece of music is unknown at this time, although my guess is that it will come from the music box. Only need to find the spring first. It turns out that the spring is in the pillow - you need to pick it up a couple of times before it falls out. Use it on the music box, and it produces a tune.
So it turns out that the tune is a famous Japanese folk song, discovered after some googling. I had a feeling that the puzzle maker had to make it easy for people to find it, because it would otherwise be next to impossible to solve for some of us non-music types. The song is "Sakura"; here is one link with the midi file (you have to d/l the program to listen to it tho - you might want to check other links for the tune):
http://www.chordwizard.com/hmw408.asp
The link also has the score, but nothing seems to be working for me so far.
Here's another site with the musical score:
http://www.mamalisa.com/world/sakuscor.html
Looking at the notes, it looks like:
ti, ti, do, ti, ti, do, do
For the first 7 notes. This doesn't work however, particularly because the scale gets as high as ti in the puzzle. However, trying the highest possible notes:
6th W, 6th W, 7th W, 6th W, 6th W, 7th W, 7th W
doesn't work.
Its OVER! Just drop the last note (leave it way at the bottom). This makes sense, because the first verse is six notes long - check the second link.

Ok... just to clarify...
When you're done the music puzzle, ie all three lines have lit up, click on the door knob, to get the ring. After a scene, place the ring on the girl's ring finger, and watch the ending.
