There may be some more changes in the future for the way that eBay handles fraud:

I doubt that this will have any more impact.

The 2000 case was historic and epic, yet nothing changed.  If they didn't force them to change with a 135,000 dollar fake painting, they won't change for a 1,200 dollar black lotus.

I love the fact that stuff like this is going on, though.  At least TRYING to get them to change.

So, they expect people who are not experts at all on such stuff to know when something is fake by looking at the picture while a collector could only see the difference when the items were in her possession? Seriously, how on earth are they supposed to do that?

Not to mention that the article is really only about this particular case where everything between heaven and hell was moved to get that woman her money back: you can't expect that will happen with every single thing because there are so many different areas of expertise that eBay CANNOT find all fakes.

And what's the solution they offer? That people can file complaints about fakes... yeah, who is going to check all those complaints, of which a lot will probably be without a source or fake themselves? I agree on eBay's stance.
