Okay, this is about the state of Legacy in Michigan. I've heard of exactly two places that play Legacy, one in Flint, the other at Pandemonium in Garden City. I've been to Pandemonium a few times, and each time they have very few legacy players. The event in Flint, which was only advertised by me and through the store, and only held on the last Sunday of each month, had exactly two people.

My question is, who is from Michigan that would interested in Legacy if tournaments appeared regularly? My other questions are where are you at and what days/times are good for you?

I have seen a lot of Standard and Limited support locally here in Flint, and at Pandemonium, and I know for a fact that RIW has a decent Vintage following so it seems as if there would be a potential pool of players including at least two people playing on pro tours that I'm aware of. To everyone who plays constructed magic in Michigan but doesn't play Legacy, why? Is there something about the format you don't like? Lack of tournaments? Lack of other players?

I'm going to cross-post this on The Source and SCG. Please feel free to post this elsewhere too. I really want to see Legacy become a relevant format here. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Aww crap. That sucks to hear few go to Pandemonium, I was planning on going there next week. And really sorry about the 2 people at your tournament.

I'm looking to seriously jump into some Legacy tournaments soon, but there are slim pickings around here. I would love to go to a weekly tournament if that were possible. The best day for me is Saturday or Sunday and somewhere around the Detroit area.

Damn, I really need a tournament fix. Hopefully something comes together!

I’m in Ann Arbor and Id really like to get out for some tournaments, however I have to stay close to home here - yeah even pandemonium was a little too much out of the way.  School work keeps me on a tight leash, but if anything pops up in these parts, I’d be there.

Me too, actually.  Thursday was really good until I started working that night.

there were up to 14 players showing up at one point.  That has decreased significantly these days.  I really don't understand why...their prize structure is insanely good.  All entry fees paid in come back as prize.  If 8 players show up, at $3 entry fee each, Pandemonium gives all of that back and throws in a revised dual land on top of that.  $24 paid in...nearly $50 back out.  That is just stooooopid good.  I have no idea why people aren't coming.  It's like they are paying you to play.  Maybe people just haven't figured it out yet.
