Here are the Auction of the People decks
Mono-Green
Salvagers (No Gamekeeper even with a built in sacrifice outlet)
Gwr Warp World
Br Control
Skullclamp Combo
Husk Deck
Dragonspeaker Beatdown
Ichorid
Mono-Blue Control
Affinity
5C Fatties
Tendrils Combo
Elves!
Counters.dec
Goblins
Wizards Aggro-Control (with Duress avatar)
Skullclamp Combo
Rock

First observation: that's a shitload of combo.  There are only a handful of actual beatdown decks (Wakefield built one), everybody else is running tricks.
Also, there is no sideboard except for if you use wishes, so you can devote your entire sideboard towards a wishboard.  That seems like a huge plan.
Third: Menendian's deck is just unfair: Desire, +2 hand size and some ridiculous cards.

Will be very very interesting.  Look for Pikula's deck to go highly since it has Meddling Mage, Counterspell, Cabal Therapy and the Duress avatar to try and stop the combo madness.

everyone but steve may as well just take their free T-shirt and go home.  I would laugh to watch the match between mono red deck wins or the green stompy and his combo deck.

I think the maindeck rule of law in Flores' deck is a bitch move though.

I have to laugh at Pikula's list:
4  Meddling Mage (Pikula)
4  Shadowmage Infiltrator (Finkel)
4  Dark Confidant (Maher)
4  Voidmage Prodigy (Budde)

Steve, what's the Trash for Treasure for?

To up storm or to get a partciular color of mana that you may be out of - you can return an LED, chrome sphere, egg, etc to get a particular color.

If I'm reading this right, the best part is that they have to "bid" starting life.

The best deck in the format is probably Steve Menendian's Tendrils of Agony deck, and he doesn't need to cast that many spells to take down many of his opponents. The problem is that Tendrils is very much about critical mass. You need each of your pieces and you need to do everything in one turn. You even have Inner Fire in your deck, which relies on your hand size. Olivier Ruel paid a huge price for an avatar that would normally start at nine cards. With nine cards he can get reliable turn-two kills. Will those three missing cards turn that into turn four or five, will that be enough? It's almost time to find out.

The first bid took 3 cards off the deck.  It ended up

- 4 cards - 9 life.

My deck went 2-1 after getting bid from 10/22 to 6/13

I think this was the first time in Invitational history that a deck was bid four cards.

What place does that put it in?  I looked briefly over magicthegathering.com, but I couldn't find it.
