I might have to pick up the cards again and play in this one.  This comes a lot earlier than I had planned to pick them up again.  After Richmond, I haven't had the slightest desire to play Magic again.  It has not been a good time for me.

I enjoyed the venue and the people at the last one.  If all goes well, I may make an appearance for this one.

This tournament is run by two guys that know how to do it right.  Last time, they might have taken a loss b/c attendance was a little lower than expected, but without hesitation they still gave out a very generous prize structure.  I believe that anyone in the midwest should definitely attend this tournament.  The tournament room is clean and spacious, the guys running it are good people, they provide a snack/meal bar full of all types of snacks and pizza, their water per bottle is cheaper than any gas station, the prizes are guaranteed, and the people playing in the tournament create a highly competitive field.

Simply put, go because you won't regret it.   Razz

Hopefully I will be able to make it... I've got exams and projects to worry about around that time, but we'll see.

*edit*
To clarify what exactly I got for 3rd place last time, out of maybe 12 participants... 6 booster packs, a WoTC Cardboard Box, and Foil Niv-Mizzet (hotness).  For $25, it was well worth it.

These guys did a good job running the tournament last time. The prize support was generous, too. You could tell they were working to make the event an enjoyable one, and they succeeded.

If school permits, I'm there.

I should be there. Mox tournaments close to me are awesome, I think Roland would be pissed if I missed another one.  Every weekend its like "Hey Mike wanna go to a Mox tournament" and I'm all like "no I have to do grown up stuff".  Stupid life and its responsibilities.

Oh and the first post should be changed to reflect the actual date of the tournament.

Just a friendy reminder for all ya'll coming from the West of Indiana: Indiana now observes DST.  This means that Indiana's time no longer mirrors CST during the DST half of the year, as it did in the past.  It is completely on EST now.  In other words, there's a time difference now you might have forgotten about.

QnD T4:

1/2: Jesus with GAT, Mike S. with CS
3/4: Me with CS, Evan with CS

So 3 CS in the top 4. Hmm.

Justin, I think you're being way too hard on yourself.  Is the extent of your resolve only this?  Maybe you just need a break from it, and I think your trip to Japan will prove helpful in providing that.  Whatever you do, though, don't sell your cards.  Many who does regret it (and often even within several months of doing so).

What happened to Becker?

I expected lots of gifts and slaver so I played a URB fish deck of mine (I've been on a short break from combo). Somehow my record was 3-1 (via 2 concessions, in a 4 round tourney!) when my real record was 1-2-1. I was 10-1 in tournament play with the deck previous to this tourney (into 2 power splits), but not having a broken deck caught up to me in Indiana. I will never play fish again.

EDIT: I almost forgot to mention, this store holds the best tournaments. They have great prize payout, plently of space to play, and a great snack bar. I'll be back for sure.
