I've heard from several people that you can "Normalize" the turns after your opponent resolves timewalk useing your Timevault. I fail to see how this is possible, and I think the people who say you can are wrong.Â
So lets try an example: Its your opponent's turn - durring the upkeep you untap vault, and que yourself to "skip you next turn". Turns are now: Current turn - Opponent Your turn ==> but you have a "skip next turn" on que Opponents turn Your turn
Then at EOT you retap the vault, remove the counter and the turns become: Current turn - Opponent Your Extra turn ==> again you have the "Skip next turn" on que. Your Turn Opponents turn Your turn
So now no more timevault shinanagens the turns would go:
Opponents turn
Your Extra turn ==> SKIPPED Your Turn Opponents turn Your turn
Therefore it is normalized. Correct so far?
Now lets add it an opponent resolving timewalk. So you untap vault at the begining of the turn and que the skip. later this turn, an opponents timewalk resovles. at the EOT you tap your vault, and take an additional turn:
0) Current turn - you skip next turn, opponent takes an extra turn, you take an extra turn.
1) Your Extra turn 2) Opp's Extra turn 3) Your Turn 4) Opp's turn ... but you still have to skip your "next turn" The common arguement that I've heard is that you infact skip Turn number 3. And if you continue to untap and tap the vault durring your opponents turn, you will continue to supress them takeing two concecutive turns. Effectively returning the game to You, Opp, You, Opp, you, Opp ... and somewhere that will never happen is... You, Opp, Opp, you, Opp. And you keep jumping your turn in front of thier double turn.Â
This doesn't seem right. It seems to me, you would be skipping turn 1 ... seeing is how that IS your NEXT turn? Therefore you made the turns go from Opp, Opp, you -> Opp, Opp, you... and didnt change anything.
Is there a sneakier way to supress your opponent's ability to take thier double turn?
