Blood Market
4BR
Enchantment

When Blood Market comes into play, each player chooses a permanent in play. Remove the chosen permanents from the game and place them under Blood Market.

At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player may lose any amount of life for any permanent under Blood Market. If another player would lose a greater amount of life, that player may put the permanent into play under his control. Otherwise, the paying player puts the permanent into player under his control.

At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are no cards under Blood Market, sacrifice Blood Market.

"Anything in life can be had at the blood market -- at the price of life itself."

This card is meant to do two things, but I'm not sure how to template the card properly. The first is to act as a removal spell that can remove progressively more permanents as there are players in the game. The second is to allow players to reclaim their permanents by paying life, assuming that another player will let them. The card avoid targeting and would allow players to gang up on each other. In addition, it forces life loss at the beginning of the effect and not as a condition of winning, so one must weigh the value of the card against the amount of life paid to potentially get the card. The card does not proceed on auction because once the first player player out-bids the active player, they win. This card has the potential to redistribute cards unfairly which is a flavor of Black and Red which both promote elements of Chaos.

It seems like it might be too complicated, but it's possible that I simply can't think of a good way to template the idea. Thoughts?

Edit: Fixed the card to not wipe the board...

Remove all permanents from the game and place them under Blood Market.
I'm pretty sure that's not what you meant to say there.

If this removed all permanents from the game surely it would basically be who ever gets the biggest bad ass thing first wins. Maybe if each player removed 5 or something?
