For starters, I intend for this name to be temporary.  I am using it to establish the flavour I want this card to convey.  Part of the pop-psychology that sprung up around Neon Genesis: Evangelion was the "real" definition of the AT Field.  Supposedly, it is the boundary of an individual's ego.  In persons with an intensely strong ego (such as persons with autism) the violation of that boundary can cause a person to panic.  With that flavour in mind, this card causes a creature to avoid combat.  It won't block and it suffers crippling terror when it becomes blocked.

A bit of preliminary research finds an interesting, related word:
kinesphere --    the space reached by the human body's extremities while stationary

That makes me want to name this card "Kinespheric Terror."

I like the card. I would play it in limited. Not too strong because of the W /B so thats good.

Yes,Tarmogoyf is probably better than Chameleon Colossus, but comparing it to Tarmogoyf is like comparing your girlfriend to Carmen Electra - one's versatile and reliable, the other's just big and cheap.(And you'd run both if you could get away with)

Heh. I initially misread it as costing 1WB, and was about to post how it's way worse than Pillory (and for that matter, Pacifism), and should either cost less, or be playable as an instant.

It's worse because both prevent blocking, but while Pillory also prevents attacking, this only provides a disincentive. There's also the life losing thing.

The better comparison is Pacifism. It's a bit worse, and it's a bit easier to cast. As long as you don't have both in the same Limited environment, I think that's fair.

I think that this card is substantially worse than Pacifism.  Pacifism's best uses are locking down a creature that you can't block or one that is too big for you to deal with.  In the first case, this does nothing effective.  If you can't block the creature, it will continue to attack unabated.  If the creature is too big for you to deal with, this might bring it down into a range where it is more vulnerable, but you're still probably going to have to trade something to kill the big creature and in that case, you're spending two cards to eliminate your opponent's one good creature.
