I was browsing around the internet and I found a site called Postapocalyptic Media.

They have a forum on there where people list all of the guns and equipment  they have stocked up in case there is a fall out. They also talk about there plans to survive. At first I thought it was a joke. Do you know anyone this paranoid? I know there are some strange folks that post around the internet, but this is just crazy! The way everyone talks on there, it sounds like the aftermath will be more dangerous than the potential disaster...!

Always travel with a partner, or partners. Keep to the high country. Don't attract any attention. If facing multiple adversaries, kill or capture the leader. Hunt down-wind (man or animal). Use guerilla tactics against a larger force. Always use the landscape. Attack, attack, attack, defense means death. Be where the enemy isn't, attack where they are less defended. Die rather than surrender. Protect innocents, never use them as pawns, or hold them hostage (I understand Machiovelli's tactics work, but I have to believe in a higher ideal). Believe in liberty. Leave no dead or any trace, the unknown creates greater fear, greater insecurity, and greater mistakes. Work on the enemies spirit and confidence. Logistics is the key to any endeavor. When using ambush tactics, psyc-ops, or harrassment loud noise will incite panic. Allow them no rest. Attack in intervals with various groups, wear them down and their spirit suffers. Remember Waco? (If that's a sore spot...sorry, just an example) ATF used loud music and bright lights, you too can be creative here.

2 assault rifles .223 cal, 1 .12 gauge shotgun, 1 lever action 44, 2 .357 revolvers (can shoot .3, 1 9mm auto, and several 9mm short autos, plus the usual collection of .22’s.

I would carry them in my house with as much ammo as I can store. I don’t plan to leave my home in the event of a catastrophe and having a wide variety of calibers will always ensure that I am able to find ammo for one of the weapons.

If I did have to hit the road and could not take my over sized SUV then I would take the 2 assault rifles with 5 30 round clips each, the 9mm and the two 357 revolvers. The rest I would bury.

Make sure ye never get to this choice. Starting by voting for the right person. Well actually, a better world starts with yourself. If you start with yourself chances are it will rub on somebody else eventually. This works both ways. You will harvest what you sow.

But i have a feeling. This feeling has a strong "only in America" scent omong it. The worst thing is that those people actually exist. Paranoia is a bad thing. Fear never is a good advisor. NEVARR...


Then again, i do not live in the States, so i have reason not to be fearfull. We have a way stricter weapon law here. Mostly when you see somebody have a weapon he either is a criminal, or is the law. Most inbetweens are the lams, and you know, the lambs are silent when ye eat them...

I don't think he means that he'll be able to find ammunition among his stockpiles.  I think he means that if / when he runs out of ammunition and has to go scrounging for more, that whatever he locates, he'll have a gun capable of using it.

Not if he lives in Holland. Almost no weapons or ammo to find here anyways, so when somebody has so many guns here he is considered a paranoia madman anyways. Having guns makes people feel safe, what if the other guy takes away your weapon and shoots you with it, would'n you feel shitty then.

Having a gun is not a solution, it makes you part of the problem.

You see, then thing about America is that we citizens have always been able to have guns. It was partially our citizens weaponry that allowed us to rebel and become our own country, free from British rule (whether or not they really helped all that much is another argument). Because of this perception that our militia helped us gain our independence, it was put into our constitution that our citizens could (and should) own firearms, in case the newly formed government should ever get out of hand and need to be overthrown again.

So what we have here in the states is A LOT of guns. You can't take away the guns, because then only people who have no problem breaking the law (most importantly, criminals) would have them.

Should anything ever go awry in this country, leading to lawlessness or something like it, the people with the guns will be running the show. Some people, it seems, have taken this realization to an extreme and stockpile them. Personally, I don't own a gun and do not hunt, but I have thought about getting some guns and ammo to protect myself should something disasterous happen.

You would bow down to tyranny and oppression before fighting against it? If Hitler invaded your country you would help him round up the Jews in your neighborhood? Maybe I am reading that the wrong way, but to me, living on your knees means being subservient to someone. This sentence blew me away when I read it - it's near-unfathomable.
