Anyone else got this?   I'm stuck in a hotel with my brother in Knoxville Tennessee, So we decided to get some very overpriced (9 dollar pitchers!? wtf) of beer and Order the Ultimate Fighter Championship 61 PPV.

What are your predictions?

Tido Ortiz Vs. Ken Shamrock:   Honestly, IDK what to expect here.  If Ken can get control of the match by getting Ortiz on the ground, this match will be over quickly.  Ortiz will not submit to Shamrock, so chances are, something will be broken.  The problem with this is that Tido Ortiz almost never goes down.  He is VERY solid at both Boxing and Grappling.   Ortiz is also clearly the much better striker.  In the last fight between these two, Ortiz completely destroyed Shamrock's face.
Ortiz by Knockout

The Pitbull vs. The Maniac:  This won't even be a match.  The Pitbull will destroy the Maniac.  The Pitbull in the past has trained EXCEPTIONALLY hard, and has never lost two consecutive matches to the same person.  It will be a good fight if Sylvia can get the first couple shots.
Pitbull by knockout.

I'd much rather watch Real fights with real badasses than fake fights with real bad actors.  Sorry RT.

As for the fights:

Tido Vs. Shamrock:  There was a little controversy with Ken thinking he wasn't out yet, But about 1 minute into the round, Tido put Ken into the fence and landed 5 consecutive Elbows to Ken's jawline.  Ken was clearly rocked, with his leg-scissors half-defense going cold.  The ref stopped the fight: TKO.

Arlovski Vs. Sylvia: This fight wasn't honestly too exciting.  Arlovski is a very dangerous Sombo wrestler and Kickboxer, but barely used these to his advantage.   The two stayed on the floor all 5 rounds, going 25 minutes and to a judges call, with Sylvia retaining the belt.

Being a HUGE MMA/UFC fan who actually trains/competes in MMA events I can tell you right now that this was a semi dissapointing PPV.

Tito was supposed to destroy Ken and he did... Arlovski/Syliva was kinda boring, but I was on the edge of my seat entire fight because they both could knock the other person out at any time with 1 shot as shown in Arlovski/Sylvia 2.

The undercards were pretty decent. UFC 62 should crown a lightweight champion and should be awsome. The card isnt out yet but I want to see Jens Pulver and Yves Edwards fight sooner or later. Also, Chuck Liddell will be fighting Babalu sinse the UFC cant hire good talant because they are too cheap to pay the big bucks to get fighters like Crocop etc.

Arlovski dissapointed me because he is both a kickboxer and a sombo style expert, and he stopped his kicks by round 3 and didn't even try to take sylvia Down, which is understandable because Sylvia definitely has 24.5 pounds on Andrei.
