Nice card, I am just not so sure about the fading. what about leaving the fading, and making the activation cost change to or something?

Yes,Tarmogoyf is probably better than Chameleon Colossus, but comparing it to Tarmogoyf is like comparing your girlfriend to Carmen Electra - one's versatile and reliable, the other's just big and cheap.(And you'd run both if you could get away with)

I think fading is the whole point. Or do you want to make this come into play tapped. It needs some kind of drawback to offset the actually rather useful ability on a colored-producing land.

How about choosing a non-legend creature? Otherwise he is a UG instant Wrath of Frog.

Correct. I chose fading because CIPT would make it too weak to be interesting to me. Another drawback, such as damage, might be acceptable, but fading seems fine too.

Please note that it does need SOME drawback, or else it's totally superior to basic Mountain (being Wasteable is not considered enough of a drawback, though being legendary is).

I like the card, but I would prefer it to be one of the following; Pain land, colorless mana producer land or legendary land.

Maybe using the "Shock-land" draw-back? I'd still be really good.

Shock land could work. Fading is annoying because then it can't ever be used unless it goes in a set with fading, and THAT can't happen if the set uses other counters (charge, age, +1/+1) in a serious way, because it's very confusing to have multiple types of counters on a card.

True, but fading is a very interesting drawback on a land. I think we have a few other cards with Fading in the master set, so if you upped the fading amount one or two, I think I'd be fine with it.
