Stone-Mountain Herald
{2} {R} {R}
Creature -- Dwarf Citizen
2/2
When Stone-Mountain Herald comes into play, reveal the top card of your library. If it is a Dwarf card, you may put it into play.

Food Chain Dwarves for the win!

I don't see any instant win combos yet. The combo (Dwarven Recruiter + Food Chain) does produce about twenty mana, though.

Cool, or too strong? I don't think a two-card combo that is (potentially) vulnerable to creature and enchantment removal, or a three-card combo, that requires you to pass the turn is too good. Food Chain Goblins is too strong because Ringleader is more powerful than this guy and Goblins has a better aggro plan outside the combo.

How about choosing a non-legend creature? Otherwise he is a UG instant Wrath of Frog.

I like it very much. because its a dwarf, its not too powerfull.

Yes,Tarmogoyf is probably better than Chameleon Colossus, but comparing it to Tarmogoyf is like comparing your girlfriend to Carmen Electra - one's versatile and reliable, the other's just big and cheap.(And you'd run both if you could get away with)

My question is: Is it so good that it prevents us from making good dwarves in the future? I don't want to weigh every dwarf I make against "Does it break Stone-Mountain Herald?".

well, its still 4 mana, so whatever dwarves we get, its not going to break ( unless we get darksteel dwarves)

goblins are just way more dangerous because of laceys bringing in a danger on turn 2.

Elvish Piper is 2GG for a 1/1 that is re-usable.  This is probably okay.
