Creature type "Clone"?
Also, I'm skeptical of the cost. WWW is sort of iffy, what about 2WW?

OK, dumbass question time.. Why is it an Instant with a name that looks like it belongs on a creature?

Flavor reasons. Like I said, the card was inspired by Jamie Madrox, a mutant with the ability to turn kinetic energy directed against him into clones of himself. I see this spell as turning damage into an equivalent creature that you can then use to help yourself out. Also, I was looking around just now and even found a precedent for this ability... and it's even in white.. Darien, King of Kjeldor {4WW} |Legendary Creature -- Human Lord| 3/3. Whenever you're dealt damage, you may put that many 1/1 white Soldier creature tokens into play. CSP-R

Would it be better as: Shining Doppelganger Creature -- Clone 1/1 You may play ~this~ at any time you could play an instant. When ~this~ comes into play, the next time a source of your choice would deal damage to you this turn, prevent that damage and put X +1/+1 counters on ~this~, where X is the amount of damage prevented in this way.

How about choosing a non-legend creature? Otherwise he is a UG instant Wrath of Frog.

Would it be better as:
That'd kill the flavor, for one, of the damage being shunted directly into the creation of a new creature. It also allows white an EOT creature with no other reason for it hitting play, albeit an overcosted 1/1.

CSP-RPerhaps, but he's a creature, after all, as is King Darien, thus parallax's idea isn't completely out of line. My "objection" is a matter of card name vs card type. If it's not a creature, it shouldn't have a name that sounds like a creature, a spell that creates a creature should have a 'birthing' name Something like Spiritual Protection, perhaps, and make the token a Spirit as a result. Just a thought.
