Dwarven digging team - 2R
Creature - Dwarf worker
When Dwarven digging team comes into play, destroy target mountain.
2/2

I made this card mostly for the flavor of it, dwarfs live inside mountains and dig for valuable minerals, so it would make sence that the mountain could collapse while they are digging inside it. Its a pretty bad card if your opponent isnt playing mountains  to be sure...

Current wording:
Dwarven Tunneling Team - {2} {R}
Creature - Dwarf
When Dwarven Tunneling Team comes into play, destroy target Mountain.
"But boss, the mountain is gone now.  Where are we going to put the tunnel?"
2/2

a very good sideboard card for red. it destroys a mountain, and has a 2/2.

Yes,Tarmogoyf is probably better than Chameleon Colossus, but comparing it to Tarmogoyf is like comparing your girlfriend to Carmen Electra - one's versatile and reliable, the other's just big and cheap.(And you'd run both if you could get away with)

Sorry, but I don't like the current version .Dwarves usually destroy non-basics (except the crappy one from Judgement), and for a reason. Would you rather dig in a Gemstone Mine for precious minerals, or in a stony mountain? Of course, they could be warriors who don't dig for treasure, but to combat the opponent, but I don't think dwarves should do such stuff. I like them more as merchants and digging people.

I'd suggest making them dumb dwarves, but that stumbles too far into Goblin territory.  I think the flavor of this is either destroying mountains deliberately, or the flavor I find more convincing which is that they're trying to tunnel and just suck at it.

Dwarven Tunneling Team - {2} {R}
Creature - Dwarf
When Dwarven Tunneling Team comes into play, destroy target Mountain.
"But boss, the mountain is gone now.  Where are we going to put the tunnel?"

I can't get past the name. There is already a Dwarven Team which taps to cast the spell Tunnel. And now there's a Dwarven Tunneling Team which has nothing to do with destroying walls?

Got a better one?
The name is easily changeable, aslong as it fits the flavor.

Dwarves aren't goblins; they're supposed to be competant.

Dwarfs are still supposed to have fun cards, and this fits it pretty well.

That's fine but you need to rewrite the flavor so they aren't fucking up.

So we're back to destroying mountains on purpose *sigh*

Anyone got an idea for a flavor text?

Flavor text:

"Well, we couldn't find anything in there, so we blew it up."
-Arkas Erinsson, dwarf leader, reporting to the Dwarven Council.

Name:

Dwarven Mining Squad?

Dwarven Mining Squad is good.  Some sort of flavor like, "After the Dwarves have mined a vein, they collapse it so no one else can pick it over for scraps." or "The Dwarves make sure no one can tunnel into their cities by destroying all the places to put tunnels."

"After some traumatic experience with a Balrog, the Dwarves decided to better close their old tunnels".  Wink
