So I just put an Exorcist in my cube and it got me thinking. Fiddled around with it a bit and I came up with this:

Scarwood Exorcist

{3} {W} {W}

When Scarwood Exorcist comes into play, destroy target creature. If the creature was put into the graveyard, Scarwood Exorcist gains " {W} {W} {Tap} Destroy target creature of the color of your choice that was originally destroyed by Scarwood Exorcist".

1/1

The wording is a mess I know, but the card have some nice flavor Smile

Thoughts?

Current Wording:

Scarwood Exorcist

{3} {B} {W}

When ~this~ comes into play, destroy target creature. Choose one of that creature's colors.
{B} {W}, {T}: Destroy target creature of the chosen color.

1/1

So, does everyone think this card is good in every way/shape/form?

I think that those abilities aren't even remotely white.

How about choosing a non-legend creature? Otherwise he is a UG instant Wrath of Frog.

Actually, parallax, it's probably a play on this card...

Quote from: Time Spiral
Pentarch Paladin
2WWW

Creature - Human Knight

Flanking (Whenever a creature without flanking blocks this creature, the blocking creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn.)
As Pentarch Paladin comes into play, choose a color.
WW, Tap: Destroy target permanent of the chosen color.

3/3

It's White-ish, but the Nekrataal ability is a bit dodgy.  That's probably the 'least White' part of the whole card.

Pentarch Paladin isn't even remotely white. Some of the cards in Time Spiral are throwbacks to the old color pie. Fledgling Mawcor isn't a very blue card. Even if it were on-color, why bother making this card when Pentarch Paladin already does pretty much the same thing?

Oh I agree with you, I was just pointing out the motivation.  The only other cards that seem to align with this notion are Northern Paladin and kin, and they haven't been around since what, 7th Ed?

I actually got the idea from Exorcist (Dark) and the new guy, ya.

How about  {3} {B} {W} and the ability requiring  {B} {W} {Tap} ?

As a black/white card, this is fine. Change the wording to:

When ~this~ comes into play, destroy target creature. Choose one of that creature's colors.
{W} {B}, {T}: Destroy target creature of the chosen color.
