Undead Sliver Creature -- Zombie Sliver 1/1 All Slivers have all abilities of all Sliver cards in all graveyards. I was browsing the threads I had missed in the past couple of months, and while looking at the Licid Sliver, thought of this. Being a Zombie Sliver, it communes with Slivers both dead and living. current version: Undead Sliver
Creature -- Zombie Sliver 1/1 Undead Sliver has all abilities of all Sliver cards in all graveyards.changes: - fixed so the abilities are only gained once

I'm not sure this works the way you want it to. It's an interesting idea; there has to be a better way to template this.

As worded, a Muscle Sliver in the graveyard would be a Coat of Arms. It should read: "Undead Sliver has all abilities of all Sliver cards in all graveyards."

Indeed. Fixed. I had a minor brain fart, wanting to use to the standard "All Slivers have..." wording, but I forgot that Slivers in graveyards also have that wording.

What happens when one of these goes to the graveyard with another in play? Does the one in play gain every sliver ability in your graveyard twice, i.e. +2/+2 from a Muscle Sliver? That seems kind of goofy.
If this is a problem, it could be fixed by saying it gains the abilities of all non-Zombie Sliver cards.

Actually, I like that one. Make the Undead Sliver get all abilities multiple times. Edit: What about making it a 3/1 for ?

Damnit. And it seemed like such a simple concept! Edit: What about making it a 3/1 for ? Nah, I'd like to keep it cheap. I'm annoyed with all the giant unusable Slivers Wizards likes to print these days.

Does this card mean that the Undead Sliver gets the benefits of all Slivers in the graveyard, or do ALL Slivers in play get the benefit of all Slivers in the graveyard?
Situation:
I have an Undead Sliver and a Talon Sliver in play with a Muscle Sliver in the graveyard.
Is the Talon Sliver +1/+1 from the Muscle Sliver?
If so, I think that's a really strong ability, even on a 1/1 for CC 3. Once he is in play, you can cheat the costs of every single other Sliver by just discarding them.
Heck, wouldn't the current wording allow Undead Sliver to make Sliver kids with a Sliver Queen in the graveyard? Her ability to produce them is a creature ability...
When talking about large universal effects in combination with Slivers, which are themselves a large universal effect, things get really mucky...

The intention is for it to be as if the Slivers in your graveyard were in play, minus their bodies. (This is apparent if you read the original version and ensuing comment). But the whole thing seems plagued with problems I didn't foresee (chiefly, difficulty of comprehension), so maybe it's better to just drop it.

I have been reading this thread, but I wasn't sure whether we were trying to get away from that original effect or clarify it. I still stand that giving all Slivers in play the bonuses that all the Slivers in the graveyard would bestow if they were in play would be a very powerful effect, whether it can be worded well or not.

To make it work correctly . The trouble is that a Sliver's ability isn't e.g. "Flanking", it's "All Slivers have flanking.", so if multiple Slivers gain that ability, it's cumulative.
