Lion Pride

2/1
Aftershock- whenever you play a creature you may sacrifice a plains, if you do you may return Lion Pride from your graveyard to play. Play this ability only if Lion Pride is in your graveyard.

This is less about the weenie aspect and more about the aftershock mechanic.
To me bringing things back from the grave is very satisifing, and provides some amount of assurence that you wont aloways be screwed in topdeck mode, so I decided to go about creating a mechanic that can do just that without being super broken but not completely stupid. I have been working on the ability for the other colors but the blue one seems to be the toughest. so far this is the blue instant:

Drouze

Instant
As an additional cost to play Drouze remove two cards other than Drouze in your graveyard from the game.
Counter target spell unless its controller pays
Threshold- Instead counter target spell.
Aftershock- Whenever you play an instant you may pay 3 life and sacrifice an island, if you do you may play this card from your graveyard as if it was in your hand without paying its mana cost. Play this ability only if Drouze is in your graveyard.

The drawback of sacrificing one of the native color producer of the spell is very critical, almost the same idea with pitch cards. I created some spells to have more of a drawback because of their possible abuse. At the casting level I dident want these to be very good thus making them more useful from the grave.

Questions, comments are greatly welcome.

As the Aftershock text takes up a ton of space, I would suggest making it just "When you play a spell that shares a type with this card, you may play this card from your graveyard until end of turn."  Then, I would template it as a keyword like Cycling.  This would be consistent with the incredibly similar mechanic of Recover and also allow you make the gobs of rules text into italic reminder text which could be omitted from a wordy rare on which it would not otherwise fit (like Golgari Grave-Troll or Scythe of the Wretched).

Isn't this basically Recover, but better?
Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's a very near miss.

Well almost accept that you play the card at the cost of a land, and doesnt always involve a creature going to the grave for it to trigger.
