The CVQ ( Quebec Vintage Championship ) held its 2nd annual Championship January 6th. That was an invitation only tournament for the top 32 players. Those invitations were given out to winners of the CVQ's qualification and to top players in the CVQ's ranking. PLayers who don'T have a qualification for the championship still had their tournament, the CVQ's Side-Event.
89 players played last saturday (30 in the main event and 59 in the side-event). There was a very big diversity of decks (At least that's what I saw in the Main event, there was 1-3 of each major archytype (Bomberman, Boberman, Gifts, Oath, Dredge, Fish, CS, Stax, Grim Long, Goblins, Elfs, Suicide Workshop, etc...). The prize structure was:

Like in the CVQ's 2006 season, we had a lot of surprises for the Championship with Elf, Goblins and Suicide B-W that top8ed! That reflect that lots of decks are viable right now and we should open our mind: What was once a bad deck may be a good deck that may top8 now!
That diversity should make the 2007's season really intersting!
