The inspiration is a creature which should win the game, but can't. It's huge, it's cool, it's got Johnny written all over it.

Monster Truck
2
Monster Truck cannot be the target of spells or abilities when it is in any zone.
Monster Truck is indestructible
If an effect would cause you to sacrifice Monster Truck, instead you don't.
While Monster Truck is in play, you can't win the game, and your opponents can't lose the game
12/12

Current Wording:

Monster Truck
2
Monster Truck cannot be the target of spells or abilities when it is in any zone.
Monster Truck is indestructible
If an effect would cause you to sacrifice Monster Truck, instead you don't.
While Monster Truck is in play, you can't win the game, and your opponents can't lose the game
12/12

TODOs:
- Need a cool name
- Need some cool flavor text
- Need to know if this will actually work

What I'm striving for is to make it so that only when someone plays some mass "remove everything from the game" or upheaval, or something. Also, while it's in play, your opponent can do all sorts of things (final fantasy? Oh yes) like not worry about nights whisper payments, or skeletal scrying payments. hell, they can combo off with all sorts of things.

In standard, there's no way of getting rid of this thing that I know of, meaning it'll be one of those "One with nothing" kindof cards.

Thoughts? Comments?

Hurkyl's Recall FTW.
This thing will require too many "you can't ______ this while it's in play" to make it any fun.

What if monster truck had a crazy drawback like "You lose life equal to monster trucks power during your upkeep" but took away the reverse plat. angel? Or what about Haste with a reverse spirit link(you take damage = damage done as well)

Also, the picture should definitly have a goblin(ib-halfheart) driving the juggernaut with rockets and a huge charbelcher on top. that should be easy enough to create.

Time to say something really stupid, here goes:

I guess one of the most practical ways to own a monstertruck is to put it upside down isn't it? So why don't you give it a morph ability and some kind of drawback that makes you turn it face down when it is destroyed etc.? Razz

lol this and stp would be nuts, i think the first drawback should be "this cant be the tagert of spells and abilities you control in any zone" minus my horrible grammar

You can't target it already... what would be the point of that?

Here's a question.  What the hell WOULD you do with this?  The only thing I can see is double flinging it at your opponent and casting upheaval.  It's pretty much jank, not johnny food, because it's so restricted you can't do anything creative with it.

Alternatively, you could use atog, pump him like mad, and play that card from, urza's saga I think..... it cost U, and each player returned a creature he or she controlled to its owner's hand.

But that's about it

[card]Dream Stalker[/card]

Do we want a two card combo this powerful lying around?

It also makes an infinitely large Carrion Feeder, since it evidently can't be sacrificed.
In fact, anything that requires a creature sac as a cost could easily be used indefinitely.  After that, finding a non-targeted bounce FTW is pretty much academic.

I think even if this guy was a 0/12 he would be too powerful, becuase of the infite sacability.

Play this guy.  Play Ashnod's Alter.
Gain infinate colorless.
Reshape/Transmute/tinker him into Staff of Dominance.
Draw your deck. Gain 1,000,000 life
Hardcast Bosh, and hardcast Gemstone Array (or other mana converter).
Use bosh to chuck infinate 2 damage's at your opponent.
Play any untargeting bounce spell

Really the only combo is Truck + Ashnods.  Reshape lets you get any other combo piece, without loosing anything (because you can reshape the truck for no disadvantage).

With Goblin Bombardment, you don't even need the Tinker.  Maybe it would work better just to have, "Monster Truck cannot be sacrificed."  Doesn't that work?

Let's make him a rules monstrosity.  Instead of worrying about sacrificing, we have:

Phasing - priority (whenever a player gains priority, if ~THIS~ is in play, phase it out of play.  If it's phased out, phase it into play)

sit back and wait for the consequences  Cool

Oh god no.  The rules nightmare involved = Sad.  Also, I'm not sure you'd ever be able to end the phase, since you'd never be passing priority on an empty stack.

I don't think you could ever resolve the Phase ability because you would have to pass priority to resolve the trigger.  So it would just end the game in a draw immediately after you pass priority.

Yeah, there's no way to have a good reverse plat angel.

Feel free to lock this.
