On Saturday March 17th RIW Hobbies will be hosting a "Mono Green" 10 Proxy Vintage tournament with first prize being an Unlimited Mox Emerald.  The event will begin at 1 PM, and deck registration will start at noon.  In the spirit of the greenest holiday, and good clean fun, all decks can only contain cards that are able to be cast with ALL Green Mana, produce green mana, mention forests or green Mana in the text box, or be artiacts that produce green mana. The event should be a very fun event, that affords players to exercise their creative minds with respect to deck design in a new and interesing formant.

Here are the additional rules for the mono green format with regards to deck construction:

Green Tournament Constructed Format.

The following should be considered a modfication of section 127 of the Magic: The Gathering DCI floor rules.  Section 127 notwithstanding, the following deck constuction restrictions shall apply to RIW's 'Green Tournament.'

All cards m, in at least of their Enlgish printings, conform to the following criteria:

1.  Be green in color exclusively.
1.01 Split cards are no legal.
1.02 Hybrid cards that are green are legal.
1.03 gold cards are not legal.
1.04 Cards and permanents that change color during game play are not rendered illegal uner this rule.
Example  Wild Mongrol will not become illegal if you chose Red when you discard to his effect.  However, Raibow Crow is not legal because it violates rule 2.

2. Be able to be legally placed onto the stack utilizing only green and/or generic mana.
2.01 Alternate mana costs may not be used as a means of satisfying  this requirement.
Example Force of Will may never require 3UU to cast, and may be green on the stack due to lifelace, but is still considered a blue card and requires blue mana to play and is illegal.  Conversely, Allosaurus Riders is legal for play regardless of how it is played.
2.02 Additional costs are not affected by this restriction; kicker costs may be freely paid.
2.03 Flashback costs and madness costs are not affected by this restriction and may be freely paid.

3. Lands and artifacts must either be able to produce green mana, or the words "forest" and/or "green" must appear somewhere on the face of the card.
3.01 Handwritten words and other modifiations do not satisfy this requirement.
3.02 The "face of the card" includes:Name, type line, text box, and artist line.
3.03 There is no requirement that these words standseperate; they could be part of a compound word or coincidentally appear in a word in the proper spelling.  Example: Greenseeker, Greenhouse Gasses, Ogreender, The Magical Sword of Ogre slaying.
