Inspired by that other Voltron idea, this is how I would have executed it: Voltron 2.0 Artifact Creature -- Construct 10/10 Trample Morph -- Tap an untapped creature you control of each color. (Tap an untapped white creature, an untapped blue creature, and so on.) Alternately we could make it like 9/3 and let you tap creatures anyone controls, which is still really virtually impossible to do in duels* but not in multiplayer. Also note how well he plays with Hybrid mana creatures like the guildmagi. *You still have to make your deck all five colors because you can't make your deck, say, RGW and rely on your opponent having blue and black creatures. Current wording: Clockwork Orange

  Artifact Creature -- Construct
 0/0
 Trample, Modular 3
Morph -- Tap an untapped creature you control of each color. (Tap an untapped white creature, an untapped blue creature, and so on.)
As ~this~ is turned face up, put ten +1/+1 counters on it.

That's a pretty sweet card.  Just a few questions:  Why 10 for a 10/10 Trample?  Why would the other version be a 9/3?  Does the wording work under the rules?  What's the flavor for him being an Artifact Creature - Construct in the Magic world?  Is there any way to make him a Cat Avatar? |

10 just seemed right. It doesn't have to be 9/3, but since you're tapping at least some of the opponent's blockers, he should be weaker. I just pulled up the p/t out of thin air. Not sure if the wording works for tapping others' stuff, but it works for your own guys. There's already several artifact creature -- constructs in existence. It seemed a natural fit. I don't want to make this guy literally Voltron, it was just inspired by that card - a nice tool to reward playing five colors. |

I like it.  Do you want it to be WURBG and a creature of each color, or is that too much? Also, I'm wondering if you should add some kind of resiliency to it just to make it more worth the effort you spent getting it out.

"If ~this~ would be put into a graveyard from play, return it to play face down." might work. |

If this is simply a huge morph monster which can't be destroyed, then it might be abused through reanimation. So, for making it harder to destroy, how about something like this:
If ~this~ is put into a graveyard from play, if you control a creature of every color, put five 2/2 Lion artifact creature tokens into play.

So what if instead of making it a morph, we make it a flip?  Then the flipside can be all tough and hard to kill, and the front is more vulnerable.  It loses some surprise value, but it lets you balance the card better. |

I could make him a small guy who gets +1/+1 counters when you unmorph him. Actually yeah, check this version out: <see latest wording> |

I like that a lot, Matt. The Modular does a fine job of making him a bad target for removal. To be competitive, however, do you think he should cost     ? That certainly wouldn't break him, and would make him a lot more viable. |

With the current wording, this would die while its ability was on the stack. |

Good point. Unless we want to start using "as this is turned face up," perhaps it is time for the first 1/1 creature with Modular. |

I think "As this is turned face up," is the appropriate solution here. |
