The Myriad Games Vintage Tournament announcement for April 14th, 2007 can be found here.

Thank you to everyone who attended the fourth event in our 2007 Vintage Tournament Series here at Myriad Games.

Andy Probasco won the Preregistration Bonus Dual Land.

Demonic Attorney won the Best Deck Name Contest and Dan Perovich came in 2nd.

The Myriad Gear Challenge continued to be popular. I played many games and we gave away a bunch of Free Myriad Gear. Thanks to everyone who participated. Enjoy the Myriad Gear!

Every player that wanted one received one of Sara's famous Myriad Games Magical Mana Cookies!

The Vintage Draft (including cards from The Dark, Legends, Antiquities, and Arabian Nights) was thoroughly enjoyed once again. Of the eight players who participated, these were the Top 4:

Our Best Tournament Report contest is underway. All tournament reports posted in the Tournament Announcement section of The Mana Drain by April 21st will be eligible to win. Reports must include Myriad Games in the title. Style points will be awarded for catchy titles, amusing anecdotes, and interesting coverage. Super style points will be awarded for good pictures from the event. Everyone is encouraged to respond to the tournament reports to let us know which you like best (you may PM myriadgames with comments if you cannot post directly to the Tournament Report forum). I will be the grand, august, final arbiter as to the final placement of reports. We may even award ancillary prizes if there are multiple reports that are deserving. Prizes will be reserved at Myriad Games and may be picked up the next time the winner(s) stop by. As reports are added, I will add handy links to the various tournament reports from the player's names in the final standings below.

I guess I should be glad you didn't do a deck check. B/C my list says I run Infernal Tutor, and that should be Imperial Seal. I am assuming the mistake is 100% on my side, because I am amazing at making really dumb deck errors. Sorry for the mistake!!!

Awards again for the most accurately typed top 8 list. There were exactly 0 (zero) mistypings and/or missing cards (besides a single Infernal Tutor  ).

Miscellaneous thoughts:

7 different decks in top 8 is pretty good. 

Slaver seems really good when someone actually puts time into it.  Oliver's version looks very tight and I suspect that he'll be doing well with it for a long time to come.

Dan Cunningham is ridiculous.  He's like NE's secret weapon.  This is somewhere around his 7th or 8th consecutive top 8 in 2007  from what I can tell.

Ray and Bill both have very unorthodox stax builds.  They also both continually make top 8 with their respective versions.  Cards that I find awesome in each deck: Ray- Darksteel Ingot and Platinum Angel 
Bill- Aura of Silence and Tomb of Yawgmoth

I still don't understand the presence of gush in the AK/Tendrils deck.  Just seems totally out of place...but that deck keeps winning no matter who plays it so what do I know. 

Where did all the fish go? :p

Serious, it would be very helpful if you looked for top 8 lists that I missed somehow (like ELD's lists he keeps posting in the Tournament Announcement Forum...) and tell me. I have various places to look for lists from different countries, but still there might be some tournaments somewhere in the world that I miss
