I wanted to make a card that could counter easy storm combo wins in vintage and make life gain playable.  Something like this:

Life of Grandeur -
Instant


You may discard a white card from your hand instead of paying {card name's} casting cost.
Gain 3 life.

Storm



This might be too powerful already, but adding cycling could make it even more playable. Also, the name is completely changeable.
