Uh... I noticed now that the "General Topics" section is gone.  Topics that might intrest TMD'rs that have little to do with Magic: The Gathering.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Wars

This is from my latest foray into www.Wikipedia.com on Sci-Fi Writers.  Apparently H.G.Wells came up with the first rules for tabletop wargaming.(and yes, I HAVE heard of Chess) .

I have to give up my seat/table at the local game shop if it's wargaming day (hey, we Magic geeks have sucked up a lot of table top time there, so I just deal with it.  Today is Sat 2pm: The local game shop is full of wargamers).

I would gladly play in said wargames (as I am a "Gamer") but am unwilling to spend money on non-Magic wargaming (unless I find myself with more time and money than I need).

Anyways, I discovered YouTube several months ago, and now get a kick out of doing research on Wikipedia.  Past topics include Plute (not a planet apparently), Whales (BIG MAMMALS) and various elements from the Periodic Table. (and music bands).

This is for those who like learning stuff for free on the IntarWeb now that we have one.  Enjoy if you like learning about stuff!

(oh, and put this in the appropriate section as "Community" is in the "Anything Magic" Section, and WarGaming is at best "Almost Magic".)
