So I'll be heading out to Connecticut for the next two years, and was wondering if there are any stores in the state that have weekly Vintage tournaments...or at least decent pick-up games. Anyone have any suggestions on where to play?

Gaming ETC in Stratford is the place to go.  It is where the next waterbury is being held and they have a great player base that plays all different formats.  The store is freaking gigantic and they have players there on every night I've been told.  I don't live in CT but if I did I'd probably be there every day.   I also know Sam's is a great store, albeit much smaller.  I don't know the exact location for Sam's but I have many friends who are locals there that play type one and they like it.

If you are coming into CT soon your first stop should definitely be Waterbury.  It will be a blast and you'll find every local type one player under the sun there.

Where exactly in CT will you be located?  Parts of it are very close to other hotbeds of vintage and tournaments (like my mox tourney coming up in a month *end shameless plug* Razz).

That's the best I can tell you right now.  Like I said I don't live in CT but I hope that info helped.

Depending on what part of CT you come to, I am more than down to play cards. I play vintage(proxied) and legacy. I try to get to the TMD/TML tournaments when I can. I do love to play as much as possible though. Hit me up with a PM when you get settled in!

Come play at Sams every Thursday at 7:00.  We play Vintage and the best vintage players in CT play there.

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

I just arrived in Middletown and am living out of boxes...

Sam's sounds good, I'll swing by on Thursday once things get more settled. I'll keep an eye out for all the CT tourneys too...thanks to everyone who replied Smile I've been very cut-off in Syracuse these past two years, and it will be good to get back into the game.
